SAVED BY THE BABY SPANO!

It’s a boy for Elizabeth Berkley!

The actress and author delivered a son, Sky Cole Lauren, on Friday, July 20 in Los Angeles, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

He weighed in at 8 lbs. Sky is the first child for Berkley and her husband, artist and designer Greg Lauren, whom she wed in 2003.

“The moment we both saw him it was love at first sight,” the couple tell PEOPLE. “We are over the moon and grateful to start this amazing adventure together as a family.”

The former Saved By the Bell star told PEOPLE in May that she was busy getting ready for the “role of a lifetime.”

“I’m due this summer and there is a reason why they give you nine months to get ready!” Berkley joked at the time. “It does allow you to prepare.”

Mark-Paul Is Married!

BY LESLEY MESSER Saturday July 28, 2012 08:20 PM EDT

Sorry, ladies: Mark-Paul Gosselaar is officially off the market.

One year after the Franklin & Bash star proposed to advertising executive Catriona McGinn, the couple said "I do" on Saturday at the Sunstone winery in Santa Ynez, Calif., a source confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

"He was so excited to have found the woman of his dreams," said Neil Lane, who designed the couple's engagement rings and wedding bands. "He couldn't wait to propose!"

Gosselaar, 38, who was previously married to Lisa Russell and has two children, told PEOPLE that he was very involved in Saturday's wedding planning.

"I'm too type-A to let it happen around me," he said. "We're trying to make it as traditional as possible. It's going to be fun!"

Next, the former Saved by the Bell star and his new bride are heading to Italy for their honeymoon. "Trust me, we are going to eat our a--es off!" he told PEOPLE.

"We're really excited about that element."

Mark-Paul took to Twitter to thank his fans:

Thanks for all the well wishes! I'm going to take a break now, travel for our honeymoon, and enjoy my beautiful wife...and new life!

Congratulations MPG and Catriona! Happiness always.

A Complete Sneaker Guide to Saved by the Bell

"Growing up, Saturday mornings were nothing without a mixing bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and 30 minutes of "Saved By The Bell." Even as we got older and too cool for that bubble-gum pop culture TV we still snuck in a few episodes on TBS before and after school. Zack taught us as much about spitting game as our big brothers, and Kelly and Lisa were straight banging — it took Jessie a few years and an R-rated movie before she was on the radar. As much as Zack was a conniving punk scheming on his latest A, money, or one-episode jumpoff, he and the rest of his friends were a cultural icon which meant their fashion choices took over quick. We decided to go to the game tape and break down the sneakers that flooded Bayside and were on the feet of our favorite characters during the run of one of the greatest sitcoms of all time. Click on the link to check out A Complete Sneaker Guide to "Saved By The Bell."

Gosselaar Explains 'Saved By The Bell' Diss

(CNN) -Nobody disses Zack Morris and gets away with it - not even Zack Morris, apparently. Actor Mark-Paul Gosselaar - who played the charming but mischievous Morris in the popular '80s and '90s sitcom "Saved By the Bell" - has had to explain some not-so-flattering comments he reportedly made about the show that made him famous.

Last week, Yahoo.com quoted Gosselaar as saying the iconic series was "not a great show," calling the writing "cheesy." Not surprisingly, diehard "SBTB" fans didn't appreciate his remarks. But TMZ reports that the actor now says that the quote in question was "taken out of context," even though he does admit to calling the comedy a little corny. Still, Gosselaar swears it was not a diss. "That's why people like it!" he said Thursday. "I wasn't saying it was a bad show, just that the writing reflected '80s cheesiness."

The "Franklin & Bash" star added that he's "proud of that show, and [has] no problem talking about it."

Mark-Paul even went to Twitter to defend himself:

., Interviews+out of context=sucks! I referred to the writing of SBTB "not being great". Nothing but respect for SBTB. Fallon is proof.
